Kari is an exceptional coach who has had a major impact on my overall health and well-being. I’ve benefited so much from her expertise and clear passion for helping each of her clients excel.
I’ve been fortunate to have worked with Kari on an individual basis for six years. Thanks to Kari, I’ve not only greatly improved my strength and mobility, but I’ve also (finally!) committed to a more plant-based diet to allow me to train and perform better, yes, but also avoid diabetes and just stay healthy! I can honestly say that, at 67, I have never felt better. I had my best running year ever in 2021 with multiple PRs and a few podium finishes in my age group. I truly never thought I was capable of what I’ve been able to achieve. But Kari knew I was and has been with me, cheering me on every single step.

“Our family has benefited in many diverse ways over the past 6 years through Kari’s coaching. She is an experienced coach for both physical and mental growth. All three of my daughters have gained knowledge, confidence and athletic skill. Each daughter with slightly different needs, Kari developed and executed programs for strength and stamina for competitive swimming, running and triathlons. She has built a positive relationship with them and is considered a mentor and role model.
Aside from her significant impact on my teenage daughters, Kari has helped me achieve tremendous accomplishments as a USA Triathlete. I’ve successfully accomplished higher level goals through her dedication as a triathlon coach. She has guided me successfully through Sprint, Olympic and 70.3 Ironman distances along with achieving a 26.2 Marathon this past Spring. Her knowledge for the physical, mental and strategic nutritional planning have made it possible.”

I have been working with Stuart Coaching for 1.5 seasons. I had previously experienced challenging times with physical injuries and illness and had been fortunate enough to build a strong local support team. However, I lacked the connection I desired with my previous coach. I wanted someone who was as invested in my journey as I was, and knew they were going to call me out when I was being stubborn and help me reach my athletic goals.
We initially sat out to reel in my first sub 12-hour IRONMAN. After some personal setbacks nearly derailed my season, we pivoted the focus to bringing the joy back to the sport for me and driving the foundation I needed to reach my goals.
Kari's steadfast desire to help her athletes as well as her understanding of life's realities and how to adapt to do the best work you can with the resources and time available allowed me to still break 12 hours in my Ironman. 11:28:34 and achieve IRONMAN All World Athlete Bronze Status (top 10% Age group award).
I couldn't be happier with my coach, and I am looking forward to many more seasons of success and reaching ever loftier goals.

I picked Stuart Coaching because of consistent word of mouth dramatic improvements in race results. What I found from my working with SC, was that I was blown away by the peace of mind in having a training calendar to rely on instead of flubbing my way to a big scary race with only big training days on the calendar on my own, filling in with whatever I could manage time wise. It was super helpful to have Kari push me through my weakness which is regular bike training, and she found a trouble area in my physiology for my swim stroke which helped her to add specific strength training routines to address and improve the issue. This all brings peace of mind and a longer race life, which keeps me coming back. Kari actually cares for her athletes, which is something very hard to find.

“Kari cares deeply about her athletes and I have benefitted greatly from her expertise in triathlon training, in personal training, especially weight training, and in nutrition. What I value most about working with Kari is her recognizing me as an individual with strengths and weaknesses, preferences and dislikes, and goals that are specific to me. As an older athlete, these aspects are important to me as a PR is often not the goal but it is more about me feeling accomplished about my training and my performances.
I am also an outdoor athlete through and through and I tend to underperform in indoor settings. Kari has been awesome in finding a balance between focused, structured training and allowing some room for playtime by integrating fat biking, horseback riding, skiing, and hiking into my training schedule.”
